At last, I finished my first Alpha Legion squad called - Cretan Bulls. It took me a lot of time to paint them. But I like this painting scheme without scales. So I will continue my Alpha Legion in such style.

Something from past

It is attack bike, which was painted by one of my friends in the past. It is quite old but i like this style with flames on it. And I like word bearers logo so much. To tell the truth, Word Bearers is my favourite legion.

My story

Hello,
My name is Platon. I am hobbyist form Russia. And this is my blog dedicated to Warhammer 40000. I really fond of this universe. First time I found out this universe several years ago. Friend of mine showed me game called Warhammer 40000 Dawn of War. It was awesome game. After that I played in Winter Assault and Dark Crusade. Moreover, I played in Fire Warrior. That were games that made my childhood.   
Then one day I saw in bookstore one of Warhammer book and I bought it, it was called "Horus Rising". Then I bought second book, third, fourth and so on. They were great. I read them very quickly. This universe has interested me. Some time later, my friend returned from England and brought with him some Warhammer miniatures. And since then it became my hobby.
I knew that there was some races in Warhammer. But it was chaos which I like more of them all. I always played for chaos in skirmish in Warhammer strategies. So I decided to collect chaos army. First squad that I bought was berserkers of Khorn. I bought them with set of basic paints. I liked their style: their huge armor, different horns, mutations, their close combat weapons and so on. In addition, I liked their motives - to kill all humankind for the glory of gods, to destroy everything, to make the galaxy burn. It is funny.
Then was my first game. My friend explained rules to me and we played test game. I have lost it. I played for chaos and he played for tau. The game was so exciting. That was not my chaos army. It was my first experience. Some time later, I bought codex and read it two or maybe three times. In codex was such a nice gallery, I really admired miniature which were there. And what about my berserkers. I painted them all horribly. That was fail. Now I am crying every time I see them. I did knew nothing about how to paint them. All of them was thickly painted, in flat colors even without metallic paints. I used 2 or 3 paints to made them. Then I decided to collect Word Bearers legion. I made small steps in my hobby, with each miniature my skill grew. But my steps were extremely small. That time I had little information about how to paint miniatures. I spoiled many miniatures that time. Even now my steps are very small.
