Third anniversary

Another year has passed on this blog. This day is a third anniversary of the Ninth Host Blog. And I want to sum up results of the past year.
Some numbers:
  • 2 finished projects - Miniatures for Dark Heresy Game; Miniatures for Dark Heresy Game - New story;
  • 55 painted miniatures;
  • 13 posts;
  • 10 000 + views in three years.
Some comments. I have not started new projects this year, as I have many unfinished ideas for already started armies. Despite this fact, it was an effective year for me. First of all, I finished my first project. In addition to the first project, I finished second one. Moreover, this year I painted miniatures twice more than a year ago. It was a real achievement for me. I started to clean my old miniatures, so in future I will have many models for various armies. And in the end, I came up with many ideas for the future projects.
Unfortunately, I could not show all models, which I have done this year, but I will show them a little bit later. Now I am going to focus on armies, which I have started before - Space Wolves and Death Guard. Next year, I will try to please the people who read my blog with new painted models.

And a few words from Christina:
''I painted:
  • 3 Centurions form Devastator Squad;
  • 19 miniatures and one tank for Dark Heresy;
  • 1 Tau riptide;
  • modified some of miniatures for DH;
  • draw a lot of symbols on other miniatures;
  • presented to owner compressor, gave bottle with methylated spirit, went and did the t-short and hoodie with logo of the blog;
  • took 182 photos of miniatures for the blog from last 29 oct.;
  • I started to modify helbrute.
I did a lot of work, but nothing to myself. The thing, which pleased me, was to paint Centurion Devastator Squad. It made me more pleasure, then other things. It gave me something: opportunity to do some freehands and attempt to try funny style of paint with bright lightening and freedom in painting. And the owner like them, so I feel, that work was done not for nothing) My fave for these miniatures. 2nd like for 2 figures from DH. They are: Adherent and Adepta Sororitas. It was a happy moment when I painted them. These miniatures were so small and cute, so I like them much.''

Miniatures for Dark Heresy Game - New story - Project finished

I ended second painting project and now I am going to make a little summary. Completed project included painting figures for Dark Heresy Game. These miniatures were painted for a new story line, which my friend was going to play.
I was planning to paint many miniatures. Unfortunately, we had to stop the project in the middle. As I mentioned earlier, it was necessary for my friend to left Moscow. Anyway, I finished as much miniatures as I could. All miniatures, taking into account pauses, were painted in about six weeks. It was a real challenge for me, as I am painting slowly. I like all the miniatures included in this task. It was pleasant to paint them. Moreover, after this project, my friend left me many interesting figures and I am going to paint them later.
This time I took photos on my own. I did that using my new mobile phone, but I had not learned how to use camera there. That is why I got bad shots. Cristina helped me to make photos better, and as usual, she applied logo on all photos. I want to thanks her for help.

List of painted miniatures:
  • Space Marines: Storm Wardens  (x6);
  • Heroes: Officer of the fleet, Malfian Bloodsworn, Death Korps Grenadier, Deathwatch Marine, Tau Ethereal;
  • Eldars:  Farseer, Windriders (x2), Rangers (x3), Banshees (x6).
All together - 23 figures.

In this post, I am showing only two miniatures, so he is going to be little one. Miniatures I want to show are - Deathwatch Space Marine and Tau Ethereal. They are new heroes for Dark Heresy Game in addition to miniatures, which I showed before. I have painted them extremely fast, as I had only a day to finish them. And in the end I got such figures:

Deathwatch Marine

Tau Ethereal

These figures were the last for this small project. In the next post, I am going to summarize the results, which I have achieved in this project.

Miniatures for Dark Heresy Game - New story (Part 3)

It is one more post about miniatures for the second project connected with Dark Heresy Game. This time I am showing Eldars. It was an Eldars formation, which included 12 miniatures. They were: Farseer, Windriders, Rangers and Banshees. I was in a hurry to finish these figures, as I had only two weeks to paint them. For this formation I could chose any color scheme except Ulthwé. I decided to paint them in the colors of the Saim-Hann Craftworld. Moreover, I decided to paint Banshees in this color scheme instead of their aspect scheme, in order to save time. In the end, I painted them all and successfully met the deadline.
Few words about figures. I liked Eldars miniatures, as they are thin and tiny. I am fond of such models. Moreover, they have nice detalization and many exciting color schemes. I hope to paint something for Eldars to myself one day.
And now photos.

Eldars Windriders

Despite the fact that bikes were modern, miniatures of pilots were from previous edition. As I mentioned earlier, I received all miniatures, so I didn't bought them on my own. That is why I do not know why there were old pilots.

Miniatures for Dark Heresy Game - New story (Part 2)

It is going to be a little post about new heroes for Dark Heresy Game. This time I painted only several heroes, as some characters from the previous project will appear in a new storyline. In this post, I am showing 3 models, they are: Officer of the fleet, Malfian Bloodsworn and Death Korps Grenadier. They were painted in the colors, which my friend wanted. I painted fast and finished them in a few days.
I like these models, for their color schemes and the figures are so different from each other.
I emphasize once again that I like to paint human figures, as they are so tiny, and it have a lot of interesting variations. And now photos.
