Death Guard: Helbrute

Today I received photos of the miniature that I have painted about a month ago. I showed little teaser of it in one of the previous posts. And the miniature is Helbrute. I painted it for Death Guard army.
He was started in autumn. I decided to spend a lot of time on him, to paint in style, which I like. For now, it is one of the biggest miniature in my collection. This miniature is awesome, it looks really ferocious. Moreover, there are a lot of options for hands. GW made great job with new miniatures.

I tried to add as much colors as possible to make him more interesting. The miniature is so good that it doesn't need any conversions or modifications. I only added some purulent ulcer using the green stuff.
And now I am painting Space Wolves Marines, I will show some WIPs later.

Second anniversary

Two years passed since I wrote my first post here. During these period of time I was painting different miniatures from Warhammer 40k universe, converting them, trying different color schemes, making new experiments with models, trying something new.
As for now, I havent finished any of my projects. But I have started a lot. I have started Alpha Legion, Death Guard, Sword Bearers, Necrons and even Tau, which I haven't showed yet.

For passed year in the blog I have achieved:
  • 1 new author of the blog;
  • 16 posts;
  • 3000+ visits on my blog;
  • 22 painted miniatures.
As I had little spare time to paint, I haven't painted a lot of miniatures since previous 29th of October.

Here are some photos:

Alpha Legion Agents

Eventually I finished them.

Death Guard Plague Marines

And Death Guard Typhus

Really like this miniature.

Another post without finished miniatures

I still haven't finished any of miniatures, but I have got something I would like to show to my readers.

First of all, I've got second Dark Vengeance starter box. I bought it a lot of time ago. I wanted to try to paint miniatures from Dark Vengeance in different schemes. Miniatures from this starter are so epic and wonderful, that's why I got two boxes now. From my first Vengeance box I finished only several Space Marine miniatures, they were painted in Alpha Legion or Sword Bearers schemes. You can see photos in previous posts. Time for other miniatures from both of Vengeance boxes will come later.

Second thing I would like to show is new miniatures that I've got. I received two "web-exclusive" Space Marine captains. They look pretty nice. Moreover, they are made of plastic so it is going to be easy to convert or paint them. And it is really pleasant to have some exclusive models. I got these miniatures due to Christine. She ordered them specially for me. Thanks for them.

I received a Scaven Warlord, I bought him to try to paint something not from Warhammer 40k.

And I bought two new squads of Space Marine - Sternguard Veteran squad and Tactical squad. These boxes include lots of new cool bits and different small parts, which can be used to decorate miniatures. For now I don't have any exact plans for this miniature.

Third thing are bases that I received from Cristina. Such bases can be found in local stores with miniatures in Moscow. They look pretty nice. I'm going to use them in future.

And some early WIP's. On the photo on the left you can see Space Wolves miniatures for my second grey wolf pack. And on the left photo, it is another men for Sword Bearers tactical squad.

And here is a little part of the photo of miniature I am currently working on. Hope to finish it soon.

Sword bearers: Tactical squad (Part 1)

Some time ago, I finished 4 miniatures for Sword Bearers tactical squad. Together with my test miniature, it is half of the squad. For this squad I took miniatures from Dark Vengeance. As I have mentioned before, GW made great starter. Miniatures are so cool, so highly detailed. It was really amazing to paint them. I modified them a little bit by applying different seals and handbags. Moreover, I replaced sergeant's chainsword with power sword. And I gave him another head to make him look like a Blood Angel.

Death Guard: Typhus

I received last part of photos. It is Typhus for my Death Guard army. I painted him some time ago. I really like this miniature, it is so cool. There are a lot of different little details on this miniature, such as cracks, scratches, wires, chain-mail, nurglings and other. And this is the reason why it took me a lot of time to paint him. It was interesting. But Typhus miniature is too old that's why he is smaller than usual terminators.

And WIP photos
